Pete and Son were very helpful redoing the driveway and walkway for my retired parents. They not only helped us design it but also accommodated changes during the install. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are all about but my experience was totally the opposite. Highly recommend!
Got my estimate on Tuesday, job was started on Thursday and finished on Friday. 2000sqft of asphault. So far so good, driveway looks fantastic! Family run company, showed up on time and performed job in a professional manner. Rare traits for a company.
Associated Pavement Contractors is currently working on my front walkway replacing the old concrete pavement into block pavement.
Another friend in my neighborhood contracted Associated Pavement Contractors to replace his old concrete-paved driveway, too. He was happy and pleased of the job that this company did for him.
Of the many contractors I have used, he is by far the worst. Do yourself a favor and use a legitimate company, confirm on the NJ Consumer Affairs website they have a license for many years and make sure they have a good reputation.

My neighbor who saw the quality of the work they did on my driveway asked them to also do his driveway. Associated Pavement Contractors did their driveway the next day and was finished the same day. My neighbor was very happy and they claimed that they saved a lot more money with this company than the other contractors who have approached them do do their driveway this summer.
I contracted Associated Pavement Contractors to do my driveway last Wednesday August 16, 2017, and I was really impressed with the work they did. The job was well done using the highest grade of materials and equipment to pave my driveway. The surface appeared thick and even, and the edges looked neat and clean. I was 100% satisfied with their work and the professionalism of the supervisor as well as the workers. I am very proud to recommend this company to whoever wants to have a high quality work on their driveway . They are not "fly by night" contractors, and they guarantee their work with a contract.
I read the other posts and had a similar bad experience. We added a circular drive to connect to our existing side driveway. It took Pete from "the paving service" ( he has several paving companies) three months do complete my job. He is full of excuses. He never marked the property for buried cables. He cut my cable line and damaged my underground sprinkler system. He left a trip step where the walkway meets the driveway. He dumped crushed concrete on my existing driveway which damaged the surface. The new driveway is wavy and when it rains, large puddles form. He randomly dumped sod all over my backyard. I had to hire another excavator to remove the sod, repair the trip step, and powerwash/reseal the existing side driveway.
Scammers. They used to go by other names and different address, but had to change both since people exposed them. They will take your deposit and never finish the work. First, a young gentlemen Pete Jr will give you a price that will seem almost too good to be true. He will seem like the nicest guy on earth. He will immediately ask for a deposit to get you that great deal. Soon they will come to start the work. They will rip off your old driveway so that you will have no way back. Pete George, the boss and guy who owned the other companies that went out of business will most likely take the old driveway off, and tell you something that will spike the price a lot. But remember you have no choice because you have no driveway anymore to think about it. Then he will ask you for another deposit, and what will you do ? Give it so that they finish the job. But nope, they might bring some base to make it seem like they will work on it but that's as far as you will get your driveway done. I wish someone else posted this before we stumbled upon this company from local coupon paper. We will be filing a criminal lawsuit against him, nope not a civil one, a criminal one because he is a thief.
