Jim Goetz the personal training manager is nothing short of AWESOME!!! He is patient, has an open mind, and is brilliant in his program design and implementation of it. Jim is one of the few who takes the time for his clients and not only writes up detailed programs but spends the time off the clock communicating help with nutrition and other lifestyle changes. He conducts himself as a true professional.
I appreciate the work Jim Goetz is doing with my grandson Robert. After Jared left, he was down because he had bonded with him, but I'm happy to say that he has rebounded and I know he feels a similar bond to Jim Goetz by the way he rushes to sit in his office the minute we get there. Jim Goetz's management skills are also top-notch. Every time I've had an issue, Jim has handled it promptly and professionally. Jim Goetz is definitely an asset to Jersey Strong.
If you want customer service, this is the LAST place to come. These people are IMPOSSIBLE. Can't WAIT until my contract is over. Keep you waiting, rude, etc. Ridiculous. They need some new employees. The teachers are great. The "secretaries" or whatever you call them are almost all rude except a couple. VERY disappointed WOW!! Been a member for 6 months and the desk people continue to be rude.
Easily the worst staff from any gym establishment I've ever seen. Poor attitudes, slow if any communication via email or phone. One of the representatives I was finally able to get on the phone even had the audacity to lie to me about working at the Freehold location(could here people grunting and weights clanging in the background) when I offered to speak with him in person about a question I had. Be extremely careful when signing a contract with these people. The staff will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up. They do not tell you how next to impossible it is to cancel a membership early. I told the trainer who signed me up at the Freehold location that I'm always on the move and may need to cancel early, and he ended up providing me with ample amounts of false information, just to get my signature on the paper. When I offered to take the contract home to look at it more carefully, the trainer convinced me that I would loose the promotional discount rate if I signed up at a later time. Crooked management. Stay clear and try Retro Fitness or Planet Fitness, both are cheaper and superior facilities.
Jim's personable, caring, fun, knowledgeable, and I look forward to my sessions with him. I can see real results and know that my goals are attainable.
