My medicaid has been terminated for me and my son. They said I was sent a renewal letter in Sept. The only renewal letter I received for was food stamps renewal I told the lady on the phone when I called because I received a letter stating my Medicaid was being terminated as of Dec. So I went and reapplied also added my husband since I don't work due to my health. Now they sent me a letter saying we were denied due to income. My husband works but he pays child support which they take it from his check, he pays our rent which is $603 a month, lights n gas bill,car insurance, and groceries too because all we recieve in food stamps is $23 A month. Now my husband's hours are less since its winter. Can someone please help us. How is it that we don't qualify due to income. We don't have money left to buy groceries and do laundry since all his money goes to bills. How would we be able to afford to pay for doctor visits and prescriptions. Especially when I'm required to use a nebulizer for breathing treatment also my son. I also need my medications for seizures and high blood pressure. Please social services help my family with medicaid.
Was told that they were closed when cleary the website states 5pm... Government officials at it's finest... not!!! Can't even get a damn website correct let alone much of anything else without making people go through hoops & then give up.
Horrible. No help whatsoever, and all I asked for was a little, not to use the system like so many others out there. They don't want to help people that just need a head start. But they will let people sit onthe system for 20+ years that don't even need it. Don't help the person that has paid taxes her whole life, but let others bleed the system dry.
